This African American Genealogy Meetup Group was started to support and share sources of information for researching one's family tree. Multiple sources include the census and  DNA.  The group's name is "Sankofa," a Ghanian word meaning " to go back for that which you have forgotten." We go back to our ancestors to find our true selves.
